Turkey Sausage, Rice and Vegetables

Ingredients:

Favorite Turkey Sausage, chopped
1/2 tablespoon olive oil
2 Onions, Chopped
5 cloves of garlic, Chopped
Green Bell Pepper, Chopped
5 stacks of celery, Chopped
7 tomatoes, Chopped
2 cups no-fat chicken broth
1 cup brown rice
Suggested herbs: Basil, Thyme, Tarragon, Oregano, Fennel Seeds
Optional: 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions:

Add a little water at the bottom of your pan and cook the onions until translucent. Add olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, preferred herbs and turkey sausage. Cook until sausage is browned. Add the rest of the vegetables and broth. Bring to a boil and add rice. Cover and cook for 30-40 mins. At the very end add whipping cream if using, and heat through.
